In the heart of the Great Depression (1935), W.H. "Bill" Pierce established Morticians Supply (later named Pierce Chemical) in Dallas, TX, laying the groundwork for what would become TNPC (The New Pierce Chemical).
A licensed funeral director and embalmer, Mr. Pierce's hands-on approach and innovative fluid designs propelled the company's early success. His dedication led to the hiring of industry experts like L.G. "Darko" Fredrick and Paul Bollman, contributing to significant growth. The company's expansion necessitated a move to a larger facility in 1987, and the 1990 acquisition of Royal Bond—where Mr. Pierce began his career—further solidified its position. Over the years, Armstrong Chemical, Naturo Fluid, and Eureka Fluid were integrated into the company.
Following Mr. Pierce's passing in 1998, his nephew, John Firestone, led the company until its sale to Wilbert Funeral Services in 2012. In 2017, Wilbert split Pierce in two and TNPC was formed, carrying forward the tradition of quality manufacturing.
Today, under the ownership of Joe Suhor, Dennis Welzenbach, and Marvin Smith, with Bethany Kidd overseeing production, we continue to produce exceptional embalming fluids and accessories, distributed exclusively by Pierce Chemical.
We continue to the be one of the top leaders in the funeral industry for embalming fluids across the country!
